I can’t tell you where I was when I took these photos – mainly because I’m not sure of the location. It was a detour / adventure on the way to somewhere else. Maybe somewhere near Rockwall, Texas. I didn’t trespass to take the photos – someone decided to dump their personal belongings on a side street. I spotted the heap and asked my friendly driver, Tore, to stop so I could take photos.
I spotted the shoes and got excited. They are the perfect addition to my ongoing “Abandoned Shoe Series” that has received critical acclaim … if only in my imagination.
This location had the most abandoned shoes I’ve ever photographed.
It was sad to see pieces of someone’s childhood dumped so carelessly.
A little girl’s dresser and beer bottles below. I wondered who they belonged to and what happened to cause this.
I did a Google search and I think the book below is a Girl Scout handbook.
More abandoned shoes.
I don’t know how to end this blog post. I was trying to switch things up from my usual creepy bug photos but ended up doing creepy abandoned shoe photos instead!

You are the only blog I subscribe to, and your pics and comments continue to be a treat. My friend, Angela Holguin, got me started with her “like” of your pics and story about the little box of chocolates you got as a present. Keep up the good work.
