It All Started While Gallery Sitting on a Saturday

Marilyn Henrion and I were Gallery Sitting at the Lewisville Grand Theater over the weekend. Our conversation wandered from one topic to another until… the spark ignited. I think I even stood up to make my declaration.

Denise: “Marilyn! You should attend a Plano Chamber of Commerce networking meeting. Here’s why…”

Marilyn listened, smiled, and agreed.

“But when is the next meeting?”

Denise: “Every Friday!”

So, it was settled.

This Friday, August 7, Marilyn Henrion will attend the Plano Chamber of Commerce networking meeting as my guest.

During the first session, each attendee has the opportunity to deliver a 30-second elevator pitch. The second session features a full 60-second elevator pitch, followed by plenty of time for conversation, coffee, and yes… donuts.

Marilyn will bring one of her artworks along with information about her current solo exhibition, The Ninth Decade, at the Lewisville Grand Theater.

Marilyn isn’t just a quilter. She combines photography, digital imaging, and textile art to create remarkable hand-quilted works, drawing on decades of artistic experience.

She’ll also share details about several exciting projects on the horizon, including a documentary celebrating the artistic legacy she and her late husband built together.

One of the unexpected joys of my work with Home Run Pest & Termite Control is the opportunity to build relationships throughout our community. Sometimes those relationships lead to moments like this—connecting a remarkable artist with a room full of remarkable business professionals. I can’t wait to watch these two worlds collide.
