I have a Passion Flower vine I’ve written about in the past.  I have a love-hate relationship with it because it has taken over the backyard.  But it’s also so pretty and fragrant.  The butterflies are a bonus. 

But if I’m going to win the battle in the backyard this Spring, I have to sacrifice some excess vines.

Somehow I managed to pull a giant root out of the soil with my bare hands.  I looked at it and was immediately inspired since it is the Lenten season.
