It was a windy day and the weeds were swaying. My subject had her eye(s) on me during the entire photoshoot. I had no expectation that I’d get a good shot – so I took dozens upon dozens. I wanted no regrets when I downloaded the photos later that day. Maybe I’d get one shot worth showing. And here it is! My friend moved around a bit on the weed and I followed her. The shot below isn’t as good but somehow there’s an element of personality. Date: October 20, 2019 Location: Oak Point Park in Plano, Texas. Camera: … Continue reading Let’s Eat!
There was a brief moment when the rain paused long enough for my friend Tore and I to visit Oak Point Park. This park makes my list of top city parks because there’s always fun wildlife to observe with very … Continue reading A fish tale
Such rich, beautiful color! Photo taken at the Dallas Arboretum. No tripod. No color correction. Just a steady hand and lots of practice! I figured I have posted lots of bugs and creepy crawlies that I should balance the blog with a pretty pink flower. Enjoy. This won’t last. I have great photos of creepy things coming soon. Date: September 9, 2018 Camera: Rockalita Sunshine (Canon EOS 5D Mark IV) Lens: My beloved 100 mm macro lens (Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 L macro IS) Continue reading Pink Zinnia
What this photo doesn’t capture is the scale of the two subjects. The meal was very hard to see until I downloaded the photo! Here are some highlights from today’s trip to the Dallas Arboretum. I didn’t have a tripod but to my relief, many photos turned out. Date: September 9, 2018 Camera: Rockalita Sunshine (Canon EOS 5D Mark IV) Lens: My beloved 100 … Continue reading Busy Little Bee
I was digging through my archives for forgotten photos and found this fun shot. I think we can relate. (Imagine diving in to a gallon of ice cream). I cropped it for a better view – admittedly, it’s not the best quality photo but it’s still fun. This was way before I had Big Bertha or Rockalita Sunshine. (My Canon cameras). I also didn’t know how to use my camera. 😉 Camera: Sony DSC-H2 Location: I think my backyard. Date: September 2017 Continue reading Overzealous Bee
Back in March I embroidered and photographed a t-shirt for work. While we use a professional photography studio – I thought it would be fun to photograph the t-shirt in a natural setting. (And I’m an overachieving lunatic). Here are … Continue reading My Day Job on the Weekends
