I was encouraged to submit additional art pieces in the “Self Portrait” exhibit at the MCL Grand Theater in Lewisville. It took me awhile to come up with my first submission, “Iterations”. Coming up with additional pieces seemed daunting. But I have a saying: if you’re handed a piece of meat are you going to cook it? Translation: if you’re given an opportunity are you going to take advantage of it or let it go to waste? I’m not only going to cook it, I’ll make multiple meals out of it! “Iterations” is my debut art piece that is on exhibit at the MCL Grand through the Visual Art League of Lewisville.
The theme for the exhibit is “Self-Portrait”. Not only was I the photographer but I was also the model. Very tricky – especially when I was turning as green as the walls from sitting upside down!

Working for a craft/hobby magazine, the Christmas issue is planned well in advance and is photographed in the summer. It’s always strange to have Christmas trees up in the middle of summer.
