Pilot Point Coffee House - Someone's Memories

Debut of “Someone’s Memories” at the Pilot Point Coffee House

I have a photograph making its debut in an art exhibit at the Pilot Point Coffee House. Stop by now through September 18th to see the exhibit. Special thank you to Justine Wollaston, who is curating the show.

Title:  Someone’s memories

Medium:  Photograph

Artist’s Statement:  This photo represents the iterations of living in the moment.  Each iteration becomes part of the past.  I remember seeing this building when it was whole, when it fell apart and when it disappeared altogether.  It represents the passing of time, the passing of life and fading memories.

About the Photo:

This is one of two homes that have always been in my memory.  Both were next door to grandma’s house and I heard this home was kept impeccably neat, clean and organized in its prime.  I photographed the crumbling structure during Christmas 2014 and documented the abandoned contents.

If you were to do a Google maps search on the area today, everything is eerily gone.

See the art in person from August 5 – September 18th at the Pilot Point Coffee House.  It is available for immediate purchase.
