Title:  What Remains, #2 by Denise Holguin

Artist’s Statement:  I make art out of strangers’ discarded memories.  This piece is a tribute to an unknown girl, from an unknown time and place.  Despite all the unknown details, her countenance is memorable.

Details: This is the second art piece I have created using the photo of the unknown girl. Before using the original photo, I took a variety of shots – from plain to embellished with dried flowers.

Materials:

• Flowers are donated from my friend Tom Cao, of Flowerama in Plano. I added bronze paint to the leaves for more interest.
• The photo was purchased from a Facebook ephemera group I follow. Yes, there are Facebook ephemera groups. Haha.
