I’ve blogged about Midway Mall earlier this year. It’s a mall that is mostly dead with the exception of Dillard’s, Burlington, Victoria’s Secret and Bath & Body Works (plus a few independent stores).
This afternoon my friend Tore and I took Mortimer to the mall to see Santa.
Here are the highlights of the adventure.
The decorations were on display for the season.
The charming imperfections keep me coming back to this mall.

Mortimer got a little out of hand. Fortunately there was this handy receptacle for a time-out.
Nothing creepy to see here. (We got a lot of amused reactions from our shenanigans.)

Here’s the big moment with Santa! (Not quite what Mortimer hoped for. It’s not that the line was long. It was pricey and Mort didn’t have enough allowance money saved up.)
Mortimer made the best of his circumstances.

Despite the mishaps, it was not a bad way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Notes: The Dillard’s is smaller than other locations but it is well stocked with product and worth a visit. Consider it your back up if the other locations don’t have your size. This location will be my go-to after Christmas for all the big sales.
