This post tracks my favorite ice cream cone looking fungus.
Here’s the original photo from September 18th. I featured it in a recent blog.

I was delighted to discover my favorite fungus was still there – undisturbed. It was the first nature photo I took with my new camera, the Canon 5D Mark IV.

There were some fresh cow patties, newly cut tree branches and plenty of brush cleared out in this area. It might have been cows or humans that knocked my favorite specimen down. I did touch it this time, it was dried out – so maybe it was part of the natural course of time. I am grateful I was able to track it for this long.
