The Last Shot of the Day

This photo is my best from today.  It was taken at Ray Roberts Lake State Park – Isle du Bois.  It seems like there should be a story with it but I’ve got nothing particularly interesting.  I spent the afternoon hunting for moss, lichen and mushrooms to photograph.  The day wrapped up with visiting this section of the park.

It is the image of isolation.  It is gray, dreary and bleak.  What lies ahead?  We do not know.  It is much too foggy.  This is my favorite type of melancholy shot!

Here’s another perspective, taken by my friend Tore.  Initially he had me stand but I thought it would be unexpected to lie flat on the cold, wet wood planks. It was worth it for the shot!
