I spied these insects along a trail at a park in Plano.  I’ve never seen anything like them.  Giant ants, perhaps?  They certainly are creepy – yet fascinating….

I did some research and discovered these are Wheel Bug nymphs.  Friends in the garden – much like the ladybug.
