I was at a party recently and got completely distracted by Ethel, the Boston Terrier.
The plan was to photograph people—my friends—but the dog got all my attention.
I’m sure you can understand why. She’s very photogenic.
My friend David with his dog. I didn’t plan for David to be blurry in the background but it does create a dramatic effect and keeps the focus on Ethel. It’s as if she knows she’s being photographed.
Tips:
Carry a camera everywhere you go – even if it’s just a simple point and shoot camera. You never know when you’ll find an interesting subject.
Camera used:
Big Bertha (Canon EOS 5D Mark II)
Lens: 70-200mm lens
Used a flash
She is photogenic, but does Kibbles know?
I did feel a little guilty when I published the blog. But I can’t afford Kibbles’ modeling fees!
