I just completed a new art piece, “Butterfly wings”.
Little tentative one, make haste and take flight with your shiny, gilded wings. While you may damage the wings along your journey you have what it takes to be courageous as a lion yet delicate and beautiful as a rose. Continue reading Little bashful one, make haste and take flight
Written by Finnegan for a class assignment at the Reform School for Creepy Dolls
Mom normally takes my older brother, Percival on grand adventures. But this time she told me to gather my things for an adventure. She even let me pick which town we’d visit. What I didn’t know, it would turn in to HOMEWORK. This is my report on my adventure in Pilot Point, Texas. I hope you enjoy. Love, Finn. Continue reading Finnegan visits Pilot Point, Texas!

When I attended the first meeting of the Visual Art League of Lewisville, themes were reviewed and I sat with a bewildered look on my face. Are there fees? Our art gets displayed…just like that? How many pieces of art can we submit? Does the art have to be hung on a wall?
What strange, mythical world did I stumble in to and how am I fortunate enough to be permitted to join?
I asked questions. And it’s true. Art gets displayed…just like that! Continue reading I joined the Visual Art League of Lewisville

Just recently I was rummaging through my garage and came upon a bucket of the metal junk I had apparently forgotten to discard. With the launch of Empirical Whimsy, you can imagine my excitement. Rediscovered objects!
The s-hook used in this piece is one of the objects removed from the streets of Dallas. If you want a visual it’s the Walnut Hill / I-35 area of town, near liquor stores and other establishments.
I am absolutely thrilled to have turned pieces of junk into lemonade. Continue reading Resilience
I don’t typically put up a Christmas tree but 2020 is different. I even splurged and purchased a pink tree because unconventional is fun. Continue reading COVID Christmas Tree
