My ongoing Fungus as Art series continues with photos from Cooper Lake State Park. I took my time setting up the shot with my tripod and I opted for f/32. In the future I’ll go less extreme with f/16.
The photo below gives you perspective of the tree stump I was photographing and the challenge of avoiding poison ivy on my clothes, skin and tripod. (Translation: my photos would have been better without the poison ivy getting in my way.)
Camera: Canon EOS 5D Mark II (Big Bertha), the last photo was taken with a Canon PowerShot G16
Lens: My beloved 100 mm macro lens (Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 L macro IS)
Equipment: Manfrotto MK190XPRO3-BHQ2 Tripod
Date: July 2016
Notes: Dress appropriately for outdoor explorations. Have a good doctor that can provide the necessary treatment for poison ivy. (So far, it looks like I’m in the clear.)
