This weekend I had the opportunity to visit a new-to-me park: Randol Mill Park in Arlington, TX. Here are some highlights.
This fence with graffiti on the walls was calling my name.
But then I looked down and noticed wildflowers (aka weeds) strewn all over the sidewalk. I didn’t bother to examine the surface too closely before sprawling on the ground to take photos of the weeds.
As I was sorting the photos to post in this blog, I was reminded of the magic of having the Canon 5D Mark II. The camera takes enormous photos that can be cropped to my heart’s content. The original photos (which I didn’t post below) were quite attractive. But after cropping, I realized how much more interesting the photos look.
Camera: Canon 5D Mark II
Lens: My beloved 100 mm macro lens (Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 L macro IS)
Date: May 2016
Notes: Observe your surroundings. Take photos from different angles to add more interest… and crop!
