I can’t take all the credit for this photo. My friend Tore spotted this bloom and alerted me. He knows I specialize in photos with creepy crawlers. (Admittedly, I’m probably the only one that likes them. But I’m documenting nature for science and the arts.
I did some research and confirmed the guests are a type of scarab beetle. They enjoy dining on prickly pear blossoms.
