I began this photo shoot with my mom’s can-do attitude. People always ask my mom—can you make this? Any idea how to make that? Can you paint this? Can you repair that? And more often than not, mom replies “yes”—and she delivers.
So for this Random Object Wednesday, Tore handed me a switch. This is one of many in his collection from his father.
Can I photograph this?
Yes. Of course I can!
I wasn’t sure how I would photograph the item but that didn’t hamper my confidence.
First I started out with a standard white background.
A close-up view of the mechanism.
Then I introduced a colored background and focused on specific elements on the switch.
I think the dust adds a nice touch!
A close-up of the handle on the switch.
Another view.
I think this is the most interesting part of the switch!
Camera used:
Canon 5D Mark II
Lens: 50 mm
Nice switch!
