An associate is traveling to Monterey Bay, California next week. That inspired me to dig up some old photos from my trip to Monterey Bay. Plus, I figured everyone needed a break from my macro photography bonanza.
This was before I was an avid photographer and long before my camera, Big Bertha.
We visited during the 4th of July – and I remember it was cold.
My photography skills have improved over the years but what remains the same is my love for taking pictures of rocks…especially when they are this fascinating.
I still remember the unusual sand formation in the photo below. No, it wasn’t a fresh sandcastle – it was hard to the touch.
Another view of the sand.
One of the highlights of the trip was collecting seashells and other treasures. At the time I only had an empty cookie container to store them – and they have remained there all these years later. I decided to take the treasures out this evening and photograph them.
