You want me to photograph that? – Sewing Needles!

Today Sam and I came up with a new challenge.  I’m calling this ongoing series, “You want me to photograph that?” The goal of this series is to prove me wrong.  Yes, you read that sentence correctly.  Oftentimes I have my doubts that I can photograph a particular item—like small shiny objects.  This series will challenge me to prove I can. Random Object Wednesday: I had no idea what I was photographing

Jeff Crump handed me a bag with a random object to photograph. Jeff:  “I added a new battery.” I took the bag home, prepared the studio and took the object out of the bag. Denise:  “What did I get myself into?” I knew Jeff made the item and it was impressive.  It has a power switch to turn lights on. Stepping Stones

Two years ago I undertook a task that was bigger than I anticipated.  It required me to learn new skills—including how to work studio lights, work with white balance and most importantly, have the confidence to believe I could photograph something other than nature photos—at that time, my specialty.  (I only photographed easy subjects like butterflies, spiders, flowers, etc.) The task required me to work after hours and on weekends.
