Behind the Scenes: Miss Macy’s Photo Shoot

Photographing a 6′ 4″ mannequin is quite a production. I rearranged my living room to accommodate a 9′ long paper sweep.

My assistant, Percy, had an important job: he was a paper weight!  I employed him to lie on the floor for an entire week. He made it look easy. But he will proudly declare that without him, the entire photoshoot would not have been a success.

I kept the set live for a week because I wanted enough time to review my photos and if need be, reshoot. There’s nothing worse than restoring the living room back to order and then having to set it up for a second photo shoot.

Oh, the crazy things artists do!

Speaking of crazy… it would be a crazy shame if you missed seeing Miss Macy in person.

Stop by this Saturday, September 13, from 10 am – noon to meet her before she goes home for a much needed spa day. I will share special details about the artwork during my gallery sitting.

Please note, this is the FINAL day the exhibition is open! Hours are 10 am – 5 pm.
