Chaos and Order - In Search of Meaning

Art Exhibit: Chaos and Order!

One of the treats of being an active member of the Visual Art League of Lewisville is the chance to get involved a little…. or a lot! When I joined a couple years ago I was terribly curious to learn who gets to decide on the exhibit themes for the year. Fast forward… Tore Bellis and I have periodically been invited to join in the theme planning meetings. What a delicious brainstorming feast! When someone suggested Chaos and Order as a theme – I was giddy with excitement. The possibilities are endless.

Chaos and Order - In Search of Meaning

Title:  In search of meaning

Size:  15” x 19”

Medium:  Photograph

Artist’s Statement:  Though life’s disappointments and doubts pile up, you always have meaning, purpose and value.

Notes: While I could have trimmed the word “meaning” to look as if it was shredded, I prefer to be “authentic”. I filled a piece of paper with the word “meaning,” then I shredded it. I searched the pile for a shred with “meaning” still intact.

Life imitates art. 😉

Experience my artwork in person, (it looks even spiffier framed) at the Lewisville Grand Theater. The art is available for purchase. It would look great on your wall.

Exhibit Dates: Sept 23 – Oct 21
Exhibit: Chaos and Order
Location: North Corridor at the Lewisville Grand Theater / 100 N. Charles St, Lewisville TX
